Juvenile detention facility

Also known as a juvenile hall and is a secure environment operated by a county Probation Department used to detain youth in the juvenile justice system who are going through the juvenile court process and not eligible for community release, are pending out-of-home placement with the juvenile court, or are serving a commitment ordered by the juvenile court.
