The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) is the state agency that provides oversight of programs that affect California’s most vulnerable populations, foster children, children and families receiving aid through the California Work Opportunities and Responsibility to Kids, adults and elderly in licensed community care facilities, and blind and disabled recipients receiving in-home supportive services of Supplemental Security Income/State Supplementary Payment.
