Probation Departments

The Probation Department is a division of county government tasked with supervising individuals, both adult and juvenile, the court places on community supervision as well as completing court investigations for pretrial and sentencing. Probation departments also operate juvenile halls, camps, and ranches. Probation departments are funded by counties, state and federal funds as well as public and private grants.
